LAND SALES.
As soon as it became known that the railway works were to be proceeded with a desire was manifested to purchase land, and no less than 2000 acres were sold on the 22nd inst. We are glad to see that the Winton Railway is beginning to bear fruit in land sales so soon. There can be no douDt —now that it is certain this important railway is to be completed without delay — land sales, to a large extent, will be effected in the fine country around Winton.
