The " Daily Times" of the 29th inst., contains the following item of commercial intelligence : — Very little has been doing in the import market during the last two or three days v but a steady demand for general trade is maintained, and business has not been destitute of life. Market Tolue3 are generally maintained. Transactions in building materials have occurred, and the parcels of Baltic timber, lately in first hands, are reported as quitted at prices exhibiting an improvement on late values. Cornsacks have changed hands at 15s 3d to 15s 6d. In the produce markets no change has taken place. Town-made flour remains at £19 10s ; Chilian, £21 to £22 ; wheats, 7s 9d to 8s ; oats, 2s 6d to 2s 8d; barley, 4s to 4s 6d ; potatoes, imported, £6 j Provincial, £7. By auction, the business done has been light, and without anything of interest occurring.
