The new Baden cabinet includes a Jew — Herr Elstetter — as Minister of Finance. This is the first time that such an oflice has been conferred in Germany upon one of the ancient faith. The newly created Cardinal Bonaparte is forty years of age. He is the head and representative of the Bonaparte Princes of Canino and Musignano, that elder branch of the Napoleon family in whose veins, since 1822, is blended the blood both of Joseph and Lucien, the first and third brothers of the founder of the imperial dynasty of France. The " Nora " informs us tiiat, thanks to the personal intervention of the Empress of Austria, the Archduke Henry, recently married to an actress, has been permitted to return to Vienna with his bride, the emperor having recognised the marriage, and promising to confer the rank of baroness on his wife, who will probably be received at court. j
