THE RIVER PLATE WAR.

New Tobk, Dec. 30, 1867. Late dates from Buenos Ayres say that on the 3rd of November the Paraguayans attacked a supply train of the allies in?a camp of ten thousand men and captured it by the suddeness of the assault. The allies fled in.dismay, losing large numbers in killed and wounded. The Paraguayans flushed with victory, commenced an indiscriminate plunder, and soon most of them became reeling drunk. At this juncture the allies reorganised and attacked them in turn and slaughtered them fearfully, coming off with a decided victory, although suffering considerably in loss of guns. The cholera had disappeared from among the allies.
