28th November. It is almost confirmed that a steamer is to be chartered for England to convey grain, and it is anticipated that a line of steamers will be inaugurated for the same purpose. The corn market is steady, but not active owing to the departure of the English mail ; wheat is quoted at 5s 6d , flour, £13 to £14; sheep, 8s; lamb, 6s. . - 29th November. A remarkable discovery of gold has been made at South Para, near Gawler, and another near Echunga ; the appearance of the former is like reet gold. The corn market is very firm ; holders are not anxious to realise ; wheat is quoted at 5s 6d to 5s 7d ; flour £13 to £14.
