BRISBANE.
29th November. The Land Bill has passed the Committee of the Assembly. Grants are given to the Volunteers for five years' service. Mr Stephens has proposed a new clause by which unoccupied land in the unsettled districts can be sold at 5s per acre, in ten annual instalments ; this will bring half the colony under the operation of the act. The bill is to be recommitted to-morrow, and it is probable the clause will pass.
