. Thursday, 28th Nov. The Governor's baggage haa been sent on boart the Sturt. Eurther movement* most uncertain. Sale of horses, plate, &c, takes place on Saturday. A farewell dinner to Fitzherbert is spoken of. Saturday, 30fch Nov. The Governor left in the steamer Sturt, yesterday at noon, accompanied by Richmond and Smith (assistant secretary.) All ceremoy was dispensed with, bftt notwithstanding, a considerable demonstration took place. Stafford, Richardson, Haultain, "Featherstone, Colonel Paul, Majors Gray and Turner, and a great number of the leading citizens were present to see him off. The shipping in harbor was decorated with flags, and dipped their ensigns as the Sturt passed. Sir George acknowledged the compliment. He goes to the Kawau, and will return to Wellington, to proceed to England by the January Panama boat. The Duke of Edinburgh's reception committee has been gazetted, and consists of Sir David Monro, Stafford, Haultain, Hall, Richmond, Harris, Judge Johnson, Barclay, Peacock, John Williamson, Featherstone, Ludlam, Fitzgerald, and Felix Wakefield, (Secretary). Duneddt, Saturday, Nov. 30. Session of Supreme Court commences on Monday —calandar heavy. Waterworks open Monday week. Geelong sails with Martin's Bay expedition on Thursday. The Superintendent goes.
