"Wellington" Monday. — 5 p.m. The subject of the Steam Service subsides has been again discussed. The House resolved that in renewing the contract nothing should be done which ; would impede the Assembly in dealing with the question at next session, as the House might see fit. " Westland Bill" before House to-night. The Speaker read a telegram from Greymouth to the effect that Petitioners there repudiated the Hokitika Petition and desired annexation to Nelson.
