Quotations have not varied in any important respect during the last few days, but there are symptoms of an improved demand for several articles, and some improvement in rates obtainabtejnayjresuto."__' 77 ..... 7 ._■„ The Taßmanian "Times,'' of the 21st June, gives the following commercial report : — "The news from Melbourne per Black Swan has imparted a firmer tone "to the wheat market, and best Tsamples may be confidently- quoted at 4s per bushel;, we are, advised. of -2000; bushels having changed hands to-day at that figure. -Oats, are still very low in pricej and from the news lately received/of the Melbourne : market a further reduction may be looked for. The Highest obtainable figure for first-class samples is 2s 3d per bushel for feed. Grass seed is very dull of sale at from 3s 6d, to 4s 6d. Flour, £9 10s. Pollard, from £4 15s to £5, in good demand. Bran, Is ! per bushel. Hay, £2 10s per ton. Potatoes, £2 10s to £3, latter with bagsv.; In dairy produce, butter maybe quoted at Is 3d per lb., and is in good demand at that figure. Eggs, Is 4d per. dozen, on the decline. Nothing doing in bacon or cheese ; the former we may place at lOd, to Is per lb., and the latter at lOd, to Is ld per lb., according to quality."
