A Romakoe op the Sea.— A romantio story of seafaring life was brought under the notice of the Liverpool Local Marina Board recently, when the chairman, Mr J. Smith, on behalf of the French Government, presented a binocular glass to Captain G-eorge Robinsbn, of the British ship Luzon, for rescuing a cabin-boy from the wreok of the French ship Pleur De Bois. On October, 1864, as the Luaou was on her voyage from Shanghai to New York, Captain Robinson saw a wreck in mid-ocean, which proved to be the hulk of the Fleur de Bois. On bearing down to the wreck no one was visible on board of her, but on searching her deoks a poor cabin-boy was discovered in an almost exhausted condition. Me was taken on board the Luzon, and landed ulti. mately in renewed health at New: York.
