The Southland Times. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20, 1867.

We are authorised to state that' His Excellency the Governor will visit the Eastern Districts to-day, and .will, if possible, pay the Theatre a visit in the evening. He will most likely afterwards proceed to Winton, and inspect the Oriti line which is formed to that place. . He will leave on Friday afternoon, by the 2.30 train. It is proposed to give him a public lunch previous to his departure. In order to be popular, and largely attended, possibly it will not exceed half-a-guinea a ticket. We recommend to the Grovernment, if this latter course is adopted, to make arrangements to hold it at the Railway Station.
