RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(Before H. M'Culloch, Esq., E.M.) SATURDAY, Ist SEPTEMBER. James Hay was charged under the Vagrant Ordinance with being on the premises of John Honywill without lawful excuse. It appeared that on the previous night the prosecutor got home late and found the prisoner in a lean-to at the back of his premises. He appeared to have been sleeping, andnotsatisfactorily accounting for being there he was given into custody, sentenced to 3 days imprisonment with hard labor. MONDAY, 3ed SEPTEMBER The inebriates were fined 10s each, or 24 hours imprisonment. EHDfD T. 2TOTT. Adjourned to 3rd October. CrvrL Cases. STOCEANJ) CO. Y. BEECHEY. Claim for goods sold £24 2s 2d. Judgment by default with costs.
