NELSON.
Nelson, 12th July. Arrived — Albion, from Bokiuika and Melbourne ; the Airedale, from Hokitika via the Bluff; the Wallaby, from the G-rey and Hokitika. Sailed — The Gothenburg, (11th inst.,) for Hokitika and Me I bourne ; the Phoebe, for the Ivorth ; xoe Egmont, for Wellington gto.d Auckland; and the Bangitoto, for the Mouth. The niardere s were brought up again to-day. Evidence was given by Galloway, who met them on the road an hour before theinii-.'der of the old whaler. They were remanded ti 11 the 20th inst., when it it is expected that Sullivan Avill be put in the witness-box ; he states that Burgess told him ie and Kelly had murdered a great number of men on the West Coast. The Superintendent of Canterbury arrived by the Airedale, and will proceed to "Wellington to attend the Assembly tomorrow. Good prospects of petroleum have been found on Dr Werill's (?) Island.
