GentliSmejt, — I have the honor to inform you that the Eoad Engineer has been instructed to provide fascines at various points, the Grovernment understanding % that carters to the diggings, sellers, and others will transport them gratis to the parts they are required. The Eoad Inspector will then see that they are properly laid. I have the honor to be, Gentlemen, Tour obedient servant, J^ro. P. Tatlob, Superintendent. Messrs.
