WOOL REPORT

The London wool sales terminated on the 24th of March. Total bales catalogued, 85,281 ; prices, first week, commenced Id to 2d advance on November rates, when prices hardened, owing to the enormous attendance of buyers. Afterwards prices gave way in favor of buyers, particularly for fine. Sydney, competition not being brisk. Port Phillip extra clips sold at extreme rates, 6d to 4s l^d for picked lots of combing. 44,000 bales offered, all sold at full prices. Sydney fleece, middling scoured and faulty wools, sold at great advance. Should present consumption continue, good prices may be expected at May sales.
