COMMERCIAL INTELLIGENCE.

Mr W. Todd reports :— Disposed of at his rooms, Dee-street,' on Saturday, 18th April, a series of lots consisting of town, suburban, and rural property. Although the day wa3 extremely stormy and wet, we have not for a long time seen so full an attendance of buyers. The place was crowded to excess, and the bidding was spirited. Property which, if thrown upon the market a few months since would have gone for a mere song, realised — as will be seen below — excellent prices. When it is considered that the respective lots were sold without reserve, in satisfaction of mortgages., the result speaks well for a renewal of public confidence in the future of the province. Prices realised : — Section No. 3, of block IX, Gladstone, half-acre— £l2. Section No. 8, of block IX, Eiverton, quarter-acre — £5. Section No. 22, of block XIII, town of Invercargill, with cottage — £66. Section No. 18, of block XXIX, town of Invercargill— £l3. Section No. 20, block XIV, 80 acres, Invercargill Hundieds— £Sß. Section No. 9, of blocO IX, town of Invercargill, with cottage and stable — £85. Section No 15, or block LXIII, town of Invercargill, with cottage — £100. Section No. 1, of block VII, half-acre, Gladstone Estate — £15.
