The shop of Mr Thomas King, watchmaker, Shortland-street, Auckland, was feloniously entered between the evening of Saturday, the 10th, and the morning of Monday, the 12th February 1866, and the following articles stolen therefrom viz. : — * Three gold watches, marked "Eussell, Liver-. pool." Five- silver lever ditto, marked "Thos. King, ' London," Nos. J930, 4939, 4943, 4946 4949. From twenty-six to thirty gold chains. Twenty Ladies' gold rings. Twelvb gold keepers. Eight sets of gold studs. Six pairs of gold earings. Three gold necklets, with lockets attached. Two fine gold albert chains. . Two gold brooches. . Five silver pencils. About twenty gold lockets. A few gentlemen's gold scarf pins. A pair of gold mounted hair bracelets. A warrant has been issued by the Tuapeka Bench foj the apprehension ot William H. Jackson, charged with having, at Tuapeka, on the 24th day of December, 1865, feloniously stolen £7 10s., the monies of one Donald M'Cann The offender is described as 19 years old, 5 feet 9£ inches high, slight build, very upright, fresh complexion, light brown hair, hazel eyes, large, scar on back, sear first finger of left hand, dressed in black coat, plaid trousers and vest.
