CHILI.
The Chilian steam corvette Esmeralda, commanded by an Englishmau, attacked the Spanish corvette Virgin 3 after twenty minutes' desperate engagement, the Spaniards hauled down thoir flag. The Chilianß had another naval success, giving them confidence of further v interims. Admiral Pareja, the commander of the Spanish blockading fgrcsj committed suicide.
Several vessels have been detained at Callao, on suspicion of trading with Spaniards. Spanish diplomatic relations with Peru have entirely ceased.
