Still we may quote Adelaide silk-dressed at from £30 to £31 ; Chilian at £22 to £12 10s. Sugars, first-class, are scarce and in demand, Pickles are inquired for, and command a ready sale. Sound beer (in bulk) i 3 scarce, and in demand ; brandy is also inquired for. Oats are scarce, and much enquired after. The market is also bare of bottled beer, candles, and oatmeal. Hams and bacon are very scarce, and prices rating unusually high. Butter (imported) is greatly in demand. The following are the Customs Returns for the past two days : — . j Wednesday.
