The election yesterday caused considerable excitement, it being known during the day that it was a neck and neck race. About ten minutes past four o'clock, the Returning Officer, stated that the official declaration of the Poll would be made on Monday, in the meantime he might say that the numbers stood — W. Wood 75. T. Heale 73. Majority for "Wood 2.
