Ship Desebtion.— Richard Coutes, a seaman, was charged with deserting the ship Gananoque. 'Sentenced to six weeks imprisonment with bard labor, and 40s. to be stopped from bis wages to pay expenses. Theft. — Margaret Anaerson was charged with stealing a watch, of the value £2, from the tent of one Edward Mill, on the Bluff Tload, on the 15th j inst. Prisoner acknowledged having committed ! the theft. She was sentenced to three months imprisonment, with hard labor.
