By way of Sydney we have news from San Francisco to the"7th of July. The Daily Alia California has the following report : — "The market for breadstuff's and grain has throughout the week shown a good degree of firmness, and closes with prices fully sustained, with an apparent tendency to better rates. Sales are reported of round lots of flour for export, and for Government account, on terms not made public. We quote closing prices for extra, in jobbing lots, at Sidol. to Bdol. per barrel. Wheat for milling purposes sells at 2dol. 75c. to 2dol. 80c, witli 2dol. 85c. per 1001 b. talked of. Barley, old brewing, commands 3dol. 40c. white new- brings 2£dol. to 3dol. 30c. per 1001 b. Oats are nominally held at 3dol. although sales in any considerable quantity could not be made above 2dol. 86c, and from that down to 2dol. 75c. per 1001 b. " Breadstuff's.— Aside from the regular jobbing sales of Sour, the transactions of the week have been 11,000 half-sacks of National Mills superfine, sold for export for Australia, and 5,000 half-sacks extra, for Government account, all on private terms. Wheat. — Sales aggregate 600 sacks 2dol. 70c, and 4,200 sacks at 2 Jol. 75c. to 2Jol. 80c. per 1001 b."
