SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
Adelaide, Aug. 23. * The Government is about to send out a party to explore the country to the north-west of Mount Margaret. Major "Warburton will go in charge of the party. Mr. Charlea Hock's father went to G-awler to-day to see his son, and, if possible, obtain full particulars of the discovery of Leichardt's remains. It turns out that it is not Mr. Hocks' s son, but an individual who has been personating him. A communication has been received from the Victorian Government, asking our G-overnment to co-operate with them in the matter of transportation. It intimates that an arrangement might be made for the ocean mail steamers to call at Kangaroo Island instead of at King George's Sound. There are buyers of flour in the market at £19, and of wheat at Bs., but there is none offering.
