The Otago Daily Mail, of 20th inst., has the following : — There was a good attendance of the trade today, at Messrs. M'Landress, Hepburn and Co.'b eale of Oilman's stores and groceries. The majority of the former being of an unknown brand dad not find much fovor, and reaped lower prices than they Tvould otherwise have done, many bona fide buyers who were present withholding their bids on this account. Fire and Marino Insurance Company, we have been requested to state that since the half-yearly meeting of the shareholders of this institution which wo lately reported, the wholo of the balance of the unallotted shares, then authorised to be offered to tho public, has been taken up, The share list, is therefore now complete. We are also informed that the directors wiil at once apply to the Greneral Assembly for a bill to enable the company to come under the Limited Liability Act.
