AUCKLAND.
The Auckland papers of the Bth, contain no local reports. The D. S. Cross, of the 6th, says : — Business has been rather dull during the week, and purchases have been only made to meet immediate requirements. There iff no change to note in the import market. Extraneous supplies from the colonies have flooded Auckland with goods of all kinds, especially of provisions, of which there is hardly an article of ordinary consumption that cannot be obtained at reasonable wholesale prices. We should be glad to see the retail prices more in keeping with them, for it i 3 a singular fact, that an over-stocked market here does not appear to reduce the prices to the consumer. Flour is still quoted at £30 per ton, nrrl stocks have been somewhat reduced. Wheat, of whit h. there is very little to be had, is quoted nominally at 12s. per bushel.
