181 ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.'] Friday, 22nd July. The Alhambra sailed from Hobson's Bay on the 14th. Captain M'Lean reports having experienced a gale of easterly winds. Was obliged to heave ship to — unable to steam against the gale. At one time, owing to heavy sea, thought the ship would jump her bowsprit out. He never experi- j enced such a succession of easterly gales. The j ship proved herself a fine sea-boat. Wo are in- , debted to Captain M'Lean for file of papers. Passenger List. July 22. — Per Alhambra for Dunedin — Captain Newlands, Mr. Poole, and six in the steerage. July 21. — Per Airedale, for Dunedin andNorthorn Ports— Messrs. Barton, Coutts, Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Fenton ; and thirty-six in the steerage. IMPORTS. July 21. — Per Titania, from Invercargill — 6 boxes soap, Weddel ; 13 cases geneva, Lockyer ; 4 cases, Crothers and Co.
