(to tub editor ov this southland times.) Sir, — I beg to call your attention to the fact that jurors sitting in ciVil cases, at tho Supreme Coixrt, areallowed no foes ior tlieir attendance. This is different from all other colonies, and ifc comes very hard on the clerk or tradesman, not only to lose their pay, but to be put to considerable inconvenience in settling the disputes of persons who are able to pay. Surely the Judge has some power in the matter. I woidd not object, in criminal cases, to sit without pay ; but in civil cases I consider it an injustice. — I am, &c.
