DANISH REVERSES.
TIIBEATENED OCCUPATION OF JUTLAND BY' PRUSSIA. The war in Denmark continues. After a siege of upwards of two months' duration the Prussians carried the works at Duppel. TJie eighteenth bombardment of the Danish position had reduced the forts to little better than ruins. The Danish army were too exhausted atid worn out to offer efficient defence. Tlie Prussians captured large numbers of guns and- two thousand prisoners. Further Danish losses were reported at from two to three thousand more. The Prussian loss is said to be about one thousand three hundred. After the capture of Duppel, the rest of the Danish army retreated to the Island of Alsen, off the coast, whero it still remain.-*. The Danes have thus lost ■ their hold of the main laud in Schleswig. The Prussians are marching the main hodv of their forces into .Jutland, and express their intention to seize and occupy that province, in reprisal for the attacks which were made on German shipping by the Danes. The Austrians aro still besieging Fortress Frederica.
