MELBOURNE COMMERCIAL.

The Argus of 28th May states that transactions in the import market to-day have not been of importance enough to influence prices. The late buyers of rice are holding for advanced prices. Flour and wheat are held firmly. For best brands of Adelaide flour, £26 to £27 are asked, and for good mining parcels of wheat lis. 6d. per bushel is required. We hear, however, of no sales at these prices. Sugars continue quite inactive, but are well held. Good useful descriptions of congou teas are readily moved off at current rates. Tlie country trade has been quite inactive, and export orders for the neighboring colonies have been unusually light.
