(FROM OUR OWX COKHKSPO'DEXT. ) Arrived, 3.40 p.m., passing through from the eastward, the Titania, from Dunedin. Sailed, 3.30 p.m., Uruguay, lurque, port unknown. The City of Hobart left Dunedin on the evening of the Ist, and arrived atthe Bluff about -1 p.m. on the 2nd inst. Captain Darby reports having encountered severe westerly gales during the whole passage down. She had a full complement of passengers on hoard . From the Otago Daily Telegraph of the lst inst. we quote tho following items of shipping news -.— "The ship Julia Farmer, with sheep, from Portland Bay.Jwas signalised about mid-day. She shortly afterwards brought up at the Heads, the strong wind preventing her reaching the port. It is supposed that she will proceed to Waikouaiti with her sheep. The schooner reported at the Heads in yes-t-erdav's issue proves to be the Mount Alexander, with wool from the Molyneux, for transhipment in the home- vessels. Captain Louden, Deputy Harbour Master, under whose supervision the (government moorings in Molyneux Bay liave been successfully laid down, returned as passenger in the Mount Alexander. The barque Reserve, which discharged about 300 tons of cargo alongside the Dunedin. i.s now alongside the Port Chalmers Jetty, where she has received a large number of tine draught horses nnd waggons for tlie Auckland market. She is expected to proceed thence. in the course of the day."
