IMMIGRATION. fT^HE Government of Southland x having |_ ' issued instructions to the Home Agents to lay on vessels from Great Britain, direct for the Bluff, with immigrants, the attention of parties interested in. the Province is directed to the following Section of Instructions to Immigration Agents— namely, " Persons residing in the Province of Southland, desirous of assisting their friends to immigrate to the Province, may obtain for them assisted passages hither, by pre-paying one-third of the passage money, and accepting a Bill for the remaining two-thirds, drawn by the Provincial Treasurer, and endorsed by a substantial householder, residing in; the Province, and approved of by the Superintendent as sufficient security for the same. _ "In the event of parties not availing themselves of such assisted passages -within twelve months, their certificates maybe cancelled, and the prepaid amount returned to the Applicants." • Passages at the rate of £15 10s per statute adult,' of which one-third (£5 3s 4d) to be prepaid. . . Applications for admission must come through the Superintendent's office, and the entertaining of such applica- . tions will rest with the Medical Stafi of the Hospital. 2nd. None need apply for medical aid^ at the Hospital, or admission ' therein, unless they can produce satisfactory evidence of their inability to pay for medical advice. 3rd. Patients for out-door or in-door treatment are to apply at the Hospital on Mondays and Thursdays, between the hours of 10 o'clock a.m. and 12 noon. 4th. Cases of accident or emergency are admissible at all times. sth. Patients of all denominations can be visited by their respective clergy, daily, between the hours of 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock p.m. In cases of real emergency clergymen are admissible at all times. 6th.
