Tuesday : — windy, and very Cmc; clear night, with dew; barometer rising even at midnight, but brj and wet bulb thermometers reading almost the sarao. Wednesday: — S:rongeasterly winds set in at £ a.m. with rain, which continued without intermission all day and night ; towards evetrng the point of complete saturation was attained, the temperature of the air and of the dew point being identical. Thursday : — Rain cease 1 at 3 a.m., after lasting 22 consecutive hours ; occasional showers during da} r . Friday: — Dull, showery day, with strong easterly winds in afternoon. Saturday :— Dull, and rniny, cold wind. This four days' continuance of wc-fc easterly winds has not hitherto occurred in six years. The temperature t& 7 deg. bilow Eho average. CHARLES ROUS -MARTEN.
