Hall and Heniy Aspinall, who were! drowned in the Bluff Harbor on the sth inst.il was held at the Eagle Hotel, Campbelltown,! oh the 12tli lnst.j J. N. Watt, Esq., 11. Mj was called to the Chair. K J Dr Hoskings, late of/.the ship New Great! Britain, who was appointed Treasurer to thai fund, at its opening, reported that the sunip of .£lOl 5s 6d, had been subscribed in the!;-' district of Bluff Harbor. I After this gratifying report, it was proposed!: by C. F. O'Toole, Esq., and seconded by li,| Longuet, Esq., "That the following gentlemen! — J. N. Watt, Esq., K.M., Bluff, A. Gillesf Esq., of the firm of Carey and Gilles, InJrercargill; ■ — Maharg, Esq., InvercaiJ.. gill; C. H. Reynolds, Esq., of the firm of|V Fitzgerald and Co., Invercarjjtil ; Dbptot £ Hoskings, of the Bluff , and Mf George/ P. f H. Gallop of the Bluff, — be'requesteotto act I as a general committee to receive,and:apportion the several sums received by the different district Treasurer^/' , f It was carried unanimously.
