A Meeting of t lie Subscribers to tike Fund for the widows and families of Messrs Hall and Asplball, convened, by;, advertisement, was heid atthe Criterion 'Hotel,' bn Monday, at 12 o'clock noon, Mr J. ","'.':■ Moved by Mr Downes, seconded by Mr Watt — "Thar, a committee be appointed to take charge of ; the funds already , collected, and to be collected, and, to disburse the same, the committee to consist of Measrs/Henderson, A. Gilles, Reynolds, Hoskins, Macdonald, and the mover, 'with power to add to their number." Carried. Moved by Mr Hoskins, seconded -by Mr Watt — " That Mr Henderson be requested to act as Treasurer." Carrieil. ..?"/ ".; . , • . Moved by Mr Henderson, seconded by Mr Dow nes — " That the Bluff Comrinttee be uohimunieated with, so that the r entire subscriptions may be dealt with as one fund." Carried. ;iv .■ . ; r; .;. ■. The thanks of the meeting were given to Mr Hoskins, forhis subscription of £26 175,6 d, the proceeds of a concert given on Friday night Jast. Mr. Hoskins intimated that he would devote the profits on Friday night next to the same object.
