Bes.t Adelaide brands were firmly held nt Lls to Lls 10s ; corn sacks had receded in value to 15s per doz. nominal. Candles were being pressed On thp market — Hale's and Ogilby's at lOJdperlb ; Neva, ls per lb; bacon and hams were in demand, Sinclair's at IHd to 12-J-d, Coey's and other brands were in demand at proportionate rates: butter, the new parcel ex Lightning realised lsper lb; old butter, quite nominal at reduced prices.; susnr, tea, coffee, and rice continued dull of sale ; Martell's brandy had been quoted at a reduction'; Henessy's in case, commanding higher rates; geiieva JDKZ has fallen in value; stocks of bulk beer were heavy and quotations unaltered
