Harrison, do ; William Wilkinson, do; John Wild, dismissed; Alfred Sugden, fined £50, and 6s 6d costs ; Patrick Finnigan, do; Stephen Cusack, do; Mrs M'Anish, dismissed ; William Hunter, fined £50 and Gs Gd costs ; F. 11. Lee, do ; Ralph Shaw, do ; Charles Nyulesy, do ; William Boyor, dismissed; David Bethune, do; D. McFarlane, do ; George Rees, fined .£SO and 6* Gd costs; Andrew Smith, dismissed; Wild Stark, do ; Jos. Thomson, postponed ; Henry Fry, fined LSO and costs, 6s. Gd. The following are the cmvictions which have taken place, before Matthew Price, Esq, It.M., Invercargill, during the month, from loth July to loth Aug. :— Drunkenness, 29; breach of the peace, S; common assault, 4; assaulting a constable in the execution of his duty, 3 ; furious riding, 1 ; indecent exposure of the person, 1 ; using: obscene language, 1 ; working a horse without consent of the owner, 1." slaughtering cattle without license, 2 ; leaving a horse and cart in a public thoroughfare, 2 damaging a public building, 1 ; stray horses, 2 . making in all, 51 convictions. Sentenced to hard labor, 11; under remand, 2; debtors, 3: lunatics, 1; total, 20Received during the month, 23 ; discharged during tic month, 23, Of the twenty-three received during the month, six were for drunkenness ; five for breach of tho peace and resisting the police in the execution of their duty ; six for debt; four for disorderly conduct in the streets ; one for medical examination, being of an unsound state of mind ; and one under remand, charged with larceny.
