Whittingham Brothers report the following as the ruling prices :— Flour, L 52 10s per ton, 7d per lb in retail ; tea, L 6 10s to L 6 15a per linlf chest, 3s 9d to 4s per lb do; sugar, lOd to Is per lb, Is to Is 3d do; coffee, 2s to 2s 3d per lb, 2s Cd do ; bncon and haras, 2s per lb, 2s 3d do ; oats, 25s per bushel, 25a to 30s do; potatoes, 6d per lb, 7J do ; brandy, 30s per gallon, 32s to 35s do ; do case (Otard's), 80s ; do do Hennessy's, 85s; whiskey, 25s per gallon, 28s do ; Geneva, 80s per cases, 85s to 903 do ; wines, 20s per gallon, 22s 6d to 25s do ; tobacco, 7s pe~ b, bs to 10 1 do ; butter, 2* 9d to 3s, 3s 6.1 do ; gin, BSs io 90s per case ; chaff, Is per lb retail; maize, Is per lb ; bags, 2s Od ; onions, Is per lb; spiced beef, Is 4d to Is 6d per lb. Price of gold, from L 3 13s 6d to L 3 13s yd.
