COMMERCIAL INTELLIGENCE.
" Isvercaugilj. Times" Office, Thursday Evening. If we cannot report nny improvement in business during tho past week, we can at least congratulate the trading community upon not being : singular in this respect. The Dunedin summaries for tha month, closing on tho 17th inst., describe , fi as one of the duiiost for a long time, and hold ! out no hope of improvement till spring. We also obserre that the long-continued dry weather with which the neighboring Province has been favored is at an end ; so that in tho competition for such articles as may be wanted during winter on the diggings, Invercargill will be able to enter on at least equal terms.
