Flour and -wheat continue firm, the former at from £12 to £13, and the latter at ss, but transactions are limited in extent. As we have before said, wheat comes ir> very slowly, and stocks are not large either of it or flour. Oats are in some inquiry for shipment to New Zealand, and 5s are offered for clean samples. Trussed hay is in demand at former quotations, viz., £5 10s to ;S6 ; hydraulic pressed is worth i'B. We observe that at Dunedin pressed hay is quoted at £10 10s, and at Invercargill at £16 per ton. . Potatoes ai-e easy, and have been sold at £4 10s to £5. Tasmanian oatmeal. £34 ; bran. Is 3d.
The Star of Victoria which has sailed for Invereargill, takes over 100 tons of flour, and some 2,748 bushels of oata, besides a large quantity of general colonial produce; and the Mercury cleare rl out for Melbourne yesterday, with about 0,812 bushels of oats, and also other produce.
