(From the Age.) Melbourne, April 29. Tho import, market generally lias again been rather quiet to-day, though an improved demand has been experienced in butter, wbicb, as wo anticipated in the early part of the week, has led to an advance, sales of trade parcels have been effected at 15d, the market tending to a still further rise. Sales of large parcels have been also made at a correspondingly better figure. Bacon has been placed at 16d on tho spot. Sales to arrive still continue to be effected, and in tbis manner, we believe, the whole advised by last mail has been disposed of. Belmont candles, in primo order, ree'ised 12-|d. An improved inquiry exists for teas; almost tbo whole of what was formerly offering under 2s have been cleared off, and a disposition is evinced, in their absence, to take to the dearer and finer sorts. A parcel of bottled fruits, arrived this morning, waspicked up at 12s.
