Adelaide, 31st March. Mellor's prize raping" machine, from the Great International Exhibition, has been sold to «i Rus tan firm. An order from the police department has issued that in future a body of the force shall accompany the *Mount Gambier mails, for the sake of protection from bushrangers. A Melbourne telegram reports that •South Australian matters at the Conference on Monday were progressing •satisfactorily. Private advices state t^iere is every probability that the Conference will be highly successful. Mr. Edwin Harris, Mayor of Port Adelaide, is respondent in a suit for a judicial separation from his wife on account of cruelty.
