Sugars are inquired for, but prices are barely remunerative, on account of the low rates that have ruled in Dunedin. Tea in better inquiry ; low qualities chiefly wanted. Tobacco exceedingly languid. Candles asked for ; Belinonts and Nevas worth Is 4d per lb. Minor articles are meeting with more attention on the part of importers ; and up-country buyers can now procure assortments with facility.
