LONDON WOOL REPORT.

(From the Home JWcs). . October 25, 18(52. Since our last several hundred bales more have changed hands at, the full advance then quoted, viz., 1 id to 2d, hut during the last few days there lins been less animation, although wool is fully as dear, with little or no disposition to part with it by holders. It is worthy of note (hat tho speculative feeling has not in any way affected manufacturers, who, with few exceptions, bought very freely at the August sales, and are well in stock till the November Peril's, fixed to commence on the 13th, wheu fully 05,000 bales will, we expect, be catalogue.!. The arrivals to date are:— 7l77 bales Australian; 700t? bales Port Phillip; 2023 bales Van Piemen's Land: 2016 bales Adelaide ; 8602 bales New Zealand ; 79 bnlcs Swan Kiver; 21,095 bales Cape— total, -19,018 bales; and about 10,000 bales held over and passed in May and August. Trade in the north continues brisk, and in districts very heavy orders are still in hand. Nearly all are well employed, and from the high price of cotton there must "be an increased consumption of wool : and it is generally expected that the attendance of buyers from all parts will be large, and th.it prices will be fully maintained at the advance of Id to 2.1. Stapled and good bodied wools wilL we think, bring more. The small stocks held of this description will scarcely suffice for requirements (ill the new clip is offered; The quotations of next soles will be regulated by the course adopted by speculators, who, judging from their present views, will not sell their purchases until after Christmas— their faith beinu r *tiii firm that t lie increased consumption of wool consequent on the hi^li range of cotton must react upon our market soon to a greater extent than it has yrt manifested: and that as manufacturers lire cl-ared of stock with large orders on hand — some for month'; to come— they will be compelled to l>uv at I lie next sides. With these feelings sp<vul:itcr.s hold for an advance of fully Hd to 2\d more. . For ourselves we are not so snngvme, and we only U.lc for the advance which has already been established hem? well maintained. The total operations of a speculative nature masbe estimated at GuOO bales, all of which is still on the market for resale.
