AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS.
The J. G. Ward Farmers’ Association report haring held their fortnightly sale on Tuesday at the Crossing yards. The entry in all classes was a fair one, and heavy in store sheep and hoggets. The demand for fat cattle was brisk, and for best bullocks we got Lll 10s to L 9 10s; medium, L 7 to L 8 5s ; best cows, L 8 to L 7 ; small sorts, L 4 10s to L 6 ; store steers, L 6 9s to L 4 10s; dairy cows, L 7 10s to L 6 ; for those close to calving; medium sorts, L 4 to L 5 ; heifers, L 3 to L 4 15s; yearlings, 3 s to 37s 6d. Sheep—Best wethers 18a to -6s6d ; others, 14s 6d to 13s ; small 9s to 10s ; stores from 8s to 11s ; hoggets, 11s 7d to 8s 6d ; small scrags, 7s 6d to 8s ; young ewes with lambs at foot, up to 13s 6d. Pigs A fair entry. Sows brought 45s to 5 s ; baeoners, 35s to 40s. At these prices we cleared our entry.
