In addition to the special prizes donated by parties whose names were, given in the prize list, a number of well-wishers gave contributions in money to strengthen the common prize fund of the Association. Starkey, £l Is; Mr Austin Mclnerney, £1 Is ; Mr James Macalister (Southland Farmers’ Implement Co.), 10s 6d; Mr W. Tarlton, 10s 6d ; Dr. Riley, 10s 6d; Mr George Froggatt, 10s; Mr C. D. Moore, IQs. The directors of the Association desire us to convey their hearty thanks to all those gentlemen for their valuable support and encouragement.
