The N. M. and A. Co. report for week ending June Btb, as follows : During the past few weeks business has been very so much so.in fact that the least said about it the better. Naturally this season is unfavourable for selling store stock, and a number of people having held on to their surplus stock have been forced by lack of feed to put them in the market, and accept prices much below value. This is very unfortunate and discouraging to holders of stock, as even if they have feed they seem to have received such a fright that they will not buy. However, there is little doubt that as soon as the worst of the winter is over there will be a good demand, and those who are lucky enough to purchase at present values will be able to reap good profits. Dairy stock are in very strong demand and there is every indication of prices ruling very high. Store cattle generally are in much less demand, and not likely to improve until the spring. Gore market, Tuesday sth inst.—The entry of sheep was much smaller than usual, as was also the attendance of buyers.
