GOOD TEMPLARISM.
A good Templar Lodge was opened at Waianiwa on the sth inst. by P. D. D. Bro. B. Donnelly and D. D. Bro. J. Lyons. Twenty-two members were initiated and it was resolved that the name of the lodge be “ The Waianiwa,” and that Bro. P. Boyd be recommended to the G. C. T. as Lodge Deputy. The first officers are as follows : P. C. T., Sis. Bissett; C.T., Bro. McDermid ; V.T., Sis. Steans ; Secretary, Bro. Wilson ; P. S., Sis. Dimond ; T., Sis. Mary Me Dermid ; C., Bro. Pink; |M., Sis. M, McDermid ; D.M., Bro. Cull ; Gr., Bro. Hamilton ; Sent., Bro. Gedney ; A.S. Sis. Cull ; SJ.T., Bro. Williams. The meetings are to be held every alternate Tuesday. Votes of thanks were passed to the instituting and visiting officers and the members and visitors were entertained by the sisters of the new lodge. An entertainment will be givun on April 25th on behalf of the lodge funds. Lodge Nil Desperandum (Wallacetown) held their second meeting last week, Bro. T. Brass, C.T., presiding. Ten candidates were added raising the roll number up to 28. It was resolved that a concert be given at an early date for the benefit of the lodge funds.
