The N.M. and A. Co. report as follows <o£ the stock market of Tuesday : Fat Cattle.—69 head yarded. Almost every lot sold at very satisfactory prices. Extra prime heavy bullocks brought LlO 12s ‘6d to Ll2 7s 6d ; prime, L 8 to L 9 ; good, L 7 . 2s 6d to L 7 15s; light, L 5 15s to L 6 2s 6d ; very prime cows, L/10; prime, !L7 5s to L 8 7s 6d; good, L 6 to LG 17s 6d ; light, L 4 to L 5 15s. We sold 38 head at quotations. Store Cattle. —143 yarded. The demand was only moderate and the owner’s expectations in many cases extreme. Anything sold arealised fair values. Yearlings brought 32s to 355; calves, 20s to 22s : 2 and 3 year old .steers and heifers, I*3 15s ; 2-year-old heifers, 1.3 5s ; store cows, L 3 Is. A large number were turned out unsold. We sold 68 head. Fat 51.0ep.—1260 penned. r Jhe demand was very slack, and a large lot were turned ■out. Best heavy wethers brought 12s lid; .good, 11s to 12s; ewes (in poor demand) 7s *6d to 9s 3d ; lambs, 8s Id to 10s 9d. Store Sheep.—6sl penned. Demand pretty .slack. A number of small lots from freezing works were sold at 6s to 7s for fair lambs, -while culls brought 2s 6d to 4s 6d. Cull ewes were hardly saleable except at very low prices. There were buyers for good wethers but none -were yarded. Skin and Fat Sale. —A good entry and everything sold at Is 4d, Is 5d and Is 6d for wood dry pelts; torn do, 6d, Bd, and 9d each, Bough fat, 12s 9d to 14s 6d. Tail tips, le 6d j»er dozen, Babbitskins —Mixed, 51 d to 5Jd
per lb; suckers, 1 Jd; and up to 8d per lb for better sorts. We have sold three allotments in Makarewa township on behalf of Mr C. H. Hermann, at satisfactory prices.
