MATAURA.

The Southland Frozen Meat Co. are nowusing on their private line to the slaughtering works, three meat waggons turned out from. Mr J. Bath’s shop in Invercargill. They are larger than those in use on the railway lines and will hold over 100 carcases each. A seat is fixed in front for the driver (they will be pulled by horses) and sliding hooks are placed inside for hanging the carcases upon. Tbe wheels and other iron work were made at Johnston’s foundry.
