AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS.
The J. G-. Ward Farmers’ Association, Ltd., report having held their fortnightly stock sale at Wallace town Crossing on Tuesday, when there was a good entry of all classes of stock. Prices for fat cattle were better than for several sales past, but stores were in poor demand, and holders declined to "accept offers in many cases. Sheep were rather slow of sale, but with few exceptions we cleared our entry at prices about equal to those lately ruling. We quote : Fat Cattle —.Bullocks, £6 10s to £8 for medium to good; cows, £5 5s to £o 15s. Few prime offering. Store Cattle—Dairy cows, £4 5s to £5 ; yearlings, £2 to £2 11s; calves, 10s to 14s ; store cows, in forward condition, £1 15s to £5.
Flit Sheep —Medium wethers, lls to 12s ; mixed ewes, 9s 9d to lls ; inferior, 9s ; lambs, Ss 6d to 10s 6d.
Store Sheep —Wethers, 8s 6d to 10s : ewes (mostly in poor condition), 7s; suitable for boiling down, 3s; lambs, Os to 7s Pigs—6s to 14s for suckers and small.
